i have acquired a uniden pro - 640 e 40 channel with ssb mobile...need tune up proceedure, what the various pots do ( vr - 1 vr - 2 etc ) and mike wiring information...appears to be a un-modified rig and in 6 out of 10 in looks ... thanks in advance... kd4amg

MODULATION: Adjust ~ VR5
AM POWER: Adjust ~ VR10
SSB POWER: Adjust ~ VR6

Sorry forgot mic wiring.

Stock wiring is:

PIN #1 SHIELD
PIN #2 ~ AUDIO
PIN #3 ~ TRANSMIT
PIN #4 ~ RECEIVE
Electronic switching & same wiring as Cobra 4-Pin Mics.
