I USED THE STINGER IN A HOMEBREW PROJECT AND WAS PLEASED TO FIND THAT THE OUTPUT WAS QUITE CLEAN WITH 3.5 WATTS DRIVE, BUT BEGAN TO DISTORT AND GENERATE OUTOFBAND HARMONICS AT 4 WATTS.THIS WAS EXPECTED AND NOT A PROBLEM. BY CALCULATING 5 AMPS X 12 VOLTS=6O WATTS INPUT, THEN 60 WATTS X 50%=30 WATTS OUTPUT, I DECIDED THE STINGER WOULD WORK AS THE DRIVER FOR MY PROJECT. THE ACTUAL OUTPUT WAS 35 WATTS WHICH WAS SURPRISING, BUT STILL NOWHERE NEAR THE 200 WATTS ADVERTISED.
