Twice now I have bought this same dummy load over the years from Coppers. The reason I like this one is that for a radio tech you can open it up and solder in an oscilloscope connection and even a divide by 10 connection and add a connector to the box. If you conceive of any other way you might need to go inside the box and add some components for you test bench needs, then this is the dummy load that will make it easy to do such things.
I tend to use a dummy load and scope to measure carrier and peak envelope power more than a wattmeter and so this is the load I prefer for my uses.

You get what you pay for!.. I had to open mine up and resolder everything. I would not use it for anything putting out more than 10 to 25 watts!

i bought this unit a few moths ago.sure the 239 needed to be replaced so the 259 could be seated all the way.i re solderd all the resistors because most of them where loose.but for the cost and 15 minutes to fix it i see no problem with it.it will test out at 52.1 ohms.just make sure everthing is tight and solder all points and its good to go.good product for the price and who does like to make something better..

WHEN I TOOK IN IT OF THE BOX, 2 OF IS FEET WERE LAYING IN THE BOX.(ONLY GLUED) THE WORST PART IS THE CONNECTOR IS NOT 239 CONNECTOR. THE CONNECTOR IS NOT ATACHED TO THE DUMMY LOAD WITH BOLTS.(ONLY THE SOLDER HOLDS IT TO THE BOARD). MINE BROKE LOOSE AFTER I FORCED MY PL259 CONNECTOR ON IT. CONNECTOR NEEDED REPLACED WITH A BOLT ON S0239 CONNECTOR. AND RE SOLDERED. NOT A RECOMENDED PRODUCT.
