Galaxy DX959 CB Radio

I bought this radio back in the early 2000's. Tune and peaked. Great radio. Bought a 2517 base back in 2000, still have it. Another great radio. Bought the 959 from Copper. Always had great service from Copper.

The 959 makes a good base

I bought one of these from Copper's here back some years ago and used it as a base. Now I have bought another and a DX 2547 because of the quality and performance of the Galaxy radios. Its easy to work on, and of all the radios I have worked on this one has some high tech stuff going on inside. The AM modulation circuit design is one of the best I have seen in the years, way better than the Cobra 148 and 2000 series of radios. It can really modulate on AM and has about the cleanest signal a radio can have! Single Sideband really gets out there with this radio. It is one radio that a tech can love to work with! With all that it has inside, and its performance its hard to imagine it is not selling for more than it is listed; anyways this means its the best buy for the money, you can not beat this radio anywhere.

I bought a dx959 over 10 years ago had it peaked an tweaked,and I am still using it to this day in my f-150 pickup,I have talked as far away as Brisbane austrailia with it an it has never failed me. Also, use a Wilson 5000 antenna to put the signal out ,just a dam fine radio ,also on side band I have been told the modulation is crystal clear even after 10 years,
