Gizmotchy 2 Meter Antenna

You can't go wrong with this beam if you are looking for something to get directional on 2 meter.They are quite sturdy and with a boom length of 54 inches, it is quite the performer. Bandwidth is very good across the band. It is nice to have the dual polarity with horizontal for SSB and the vertical for FM. Great antenna for the money. I have had one for nearly 10 years.

ive used this antenna for about a year. started out at 21 foot and talked to my brother 23 miles away. he was running 2 meter ground plane at around 20 feet to feed point, barely able to make words out. recently he has 5 element home made horizontal beam at 31 feet and i am @ 31 feet, and we do about 5 s units 50 watts each. on 50 watts i talked to a guy with a 16 element beam a few times 76.6 miles away. his beam is 60 feet in the air. over all this is a great beginner 2 meter beam, but the swr is all over the place over all of 2 meter. no sweet spot.
