I normally am a SSB operator but while mobile one time, I went to 19 to inform a driver he had a fuel leak, and by the time I returned to 38 it didn't take long to figure out why my rig was only firing it's barefoot normal 15 watts SSB. The 203 didn't care for that 8 watt blast on AM. Great little 100 watt amp but it is sensitive to its basic settings SO, its worth going in and turning down the peaked RCI internally so that doesn't happen again! This was completely my fault not RM's.

I have been driving 4 WATTS into this amp on a daily basis for 12 years now with NO PROBLEMS. Wired to a 15 amp plug in accessory port with a stock Cobra LX 29. Do NOT buy this product from anyone other than RM AUTHORIZED DEALERS!!! Radio 88, eBay sell a Chinese knock off that is completely worthless. Buyer beware!

Does the trick. Had to add a RM Italy 500 watt low pass filter, like the instructions came with said to do. Also wired in a 80mm fan with three speeds to keep it cool. Get good mic checks and just enough power/size to get out in a Mobile without keying over everyone or Rodger beeping into the galaxy
