I bought one of these about two months ago to use on 10 meters to add some power to my radio shack htx-100 transceiver. When 10 meters is fully open, 12 watts pep to the antenna is enough to work the world 3 times over. But when the opening is sporatic E you need some power to get thru. This little amp is working just fine for me. With the amp on, I get S7 reports and when I turn the amp off I am barely readable. driving the amp with 12 watts pep input, I get 200 watts pep out to the antenna. That is a 20 to I ratio of output to input, very impressive. The amp barely gets warm but I have a small fan in case it does. Keeping electronics cool is the key to longivity. If you run AM. the amp will heat up pretty good. I for one am very pleased with this amp. Cant get any better peformance from amps costing many times more.

i bought one about a month ago and it does the job. i didnt think for the money i would get much but i was surprised. this little unit will kick out the power. just make sure not to over power it. i set my radio up at 2 watts dead key and about 20 watt swing and they can here me now. to finish if your not going to use it to talk for a long time with it on you will be fine.if your one who likes to run the amp. all the time get a texas star.
