I have recently picked up my 2970N2 happy big time. This works very well, hooked it up and it was noticed right away. It is going to be my base unit. Am workes outstandingly hands down the Side Band is out of the planet. Ranger is my only radio of choice. New 2950DX is superb, and of course the 2970N2. Both my Old 2950`s Have been reworked by Ranger and they are no Slouch. Ranger keep up the great work, and Copper Techs are the Best.

Fired up the radio today and decided to try sideband out. First call got a comeback from Grenada. I am very impressed with the radio. Copper tuned it for me. I am happy with Coppers service. I will be buying from them very soon. If you are on the fence about getting one of these radios, Just do it. Sure there are radios with more power, but this thing sounds great. Good reports.

Great radio. Easy to use. The techs at coppers did a awesome job on the 2970 N2. The box said 100 watts AM and 200 sideband. The meter had it dead keying at 200 on AM. My first radio check was from a trucker 20 miles way out on the interstate. Said great signal and mod. I never touched the power mic setting the tech dialed the radio in at. But I did turn the power down to a 175 dead key. The new solarcon A-99 worked fantastic with a 1-1:1 SWR right out of the box. Fantastic radio!
