The fan is mounted to a cover which fits over the heat sink of all four and five transistor models: DX400/DX400V, DX500/DX500V and DX667/DX667V.
The F456 can be plugged into the rear of the unit and turns on when a 12 volt source is wired to the existing miniature jack.

I have three of the cooling fans, all are mounted on my Texas Star 500V amps that I also purchased from Copper.
They do a very good job keeping the TS 500 cooled down. I wired them with a thermal on/off switch so they do not run continuously, and it works great.
A bit pricey but still cheaper than burned transistors. Keeps my 500V good and cool even when driving it pretty hard.
