I received this mic a couple days ago. Put it on my Stryker 955 HP, and received glowing reports on the audio quality both on AM and sideband. I'm very happy with this mic. I just ordered another one for my Ranger 2995dx radio. A very good mic.

I bought the Silver Salute from Copper Electronics several months back. It has set on the shelf most of the time since. It's a beautiful Microphone which is the main reason I bought it....to look nice on my desk. None of my CB friends likes the way it sounds on any of my radios (RCI, Connex, Galaxy, Magnum, cobras), and when I listen to it, I don't like the sound either. It makes a scratching noise when the PTT bars are pushed, which I have isolated to one of the microswitches, and a cash Register opening sound when the bars are released. I don't like the way it has to be set up with such tender loving carefulness doing a balancing act between the Mic volume, radio mic gain, and the talking distance. The construction is, in my opnion, very good and it is second to none on looks.
