I've always ran a Wilson 1000 Mag. mount. I've had 1 on a full size Chevy 4X4, a S10 Blazer and several different cars. They are tough, stay on the roof and will handle any frequency a CB radio can be modified to transmit on. Unless you are running crazy high power. This is the antenna you want.

I bought a white Wilson-1000 used from a friend in 1989 for my new President HR-2510 and it more than handled everywhere the radio would go (and then some). Later when I got a ChipSwitch for the radio and extended the coverage down to 24.800 MHz it also handled this extra coverage (SWR) with room to spare. I commuted via the Florida turnpike every day and the antenna handled 80+ MPH speeds with no problem and never broke loose. Excellent build quality and worked as excellent as it was made. Highly recommend :)

I have one on a 2000 Chevy Monte Carlo, was running a Cobra 150 GTL and talked almost 50 miles barefooted. Great antenna for the price.
