MaxOptimizer allows you to choose between a balanced 10 -11 meter antenna that will perform well in both bands or optimize the antenna for the 11 meter band.
To Optimize for 11 meter performance assemble the antenna with the 12” optimizer section installed between the mid and top section as a 4 piece antenna.
For balanced 10-11 meter performance leave out the 12” optimizer section and assemble as 3 piece antenna.
Antenna rated at 5000 Watts
Covers 26 MHz to 33.5 MHz using patented tuning rings and trimming the top
section; approximately twice the 2:1 SWR bandwidth as the A-99 / I-MAX 2000 (3MHz with SWR<2:1)
Entire antenna radiates producing a gain 1 to 2 db higher than the best of the competitors 5/8 wavelength antennas
Antenna tested to 5000 watts without failure
Mounting system provides easy one piece installation
Long ferrules make for a mechanically strong antenna
Comes in three 3-4 sections which are UPS shippable
Meets or exceeds CPSC shock hazard standards
Add the MAX GPK ground plane kit for even better performance

Works great, got ground plane kit also.I have made contacts all over Europe,USA,Some pacific.Stands up to stoms well.It will let you talk to those weak stations that you think you cant reach.Low swr,low maintenance.Easy to install by yourself.I hear of all those people having problems with their rotors, towers ,beams etc,Put it up and forget about it and DX.

yes got my low pass filter from copper. what a filter large heavy duty i can see that this filter will last me many life times put it in line with my radio and imax 2000. work well no friends came by and complain. and i been talking for four hours. still got 1.4 swr. just like it said on the box. the picture in the copper catalog is not right. this is a great 30 mhz low pass filter for the price. thrilled. sorry the girl at copper had to put up with a deaf old man when i order it. thanks kid.

I upgraded from A99 and was worth the time. i am getting 1-2 s units better on recieve with locals and 1-2 s units on transmit. This antenna is a very good, and it performs well. It bends alot in the wind on windy days, but it always stands up to any storm.
I also upgraded to 213 coax.
This is a good antenna and worth the extra money compared to A99. Easy to set up too.

As a tech and a long time user of this antenna and several others, I prefer this antenna to all other verticle omni directional antennas. A 5/8 wave antenna is greatly improved over a 1/2 wave. Remember that an antenna is 90 percent of your talking ability. You can use the best radio available with a poor antenna and the guy next door with a Cobra 25 and an Imax 2000 will talk circles around you. This is the best antenna short of a beam antenna.
